Production Considerations:

When I deployed this for TechFlow (Case Study 1), we learned these lessons the hard way:

  1. Token Limits: GPT-4-turbo has 4,096 max output tokens (~3,000 words). For longer articles, we split into sections and combine.

  2. Cost Control: At $0.03 per 1K output tokens, a 3,000-word article costs ~$0.27. At scale (100 articles/month), that's $27/month just for generation—cheap, but it adds up with retries and variations.

  3. Quality Variance: Same prompt can produce different quality outputs. We generate 2-3 variations and pick the best (adds 3x to cost, but worth it).

  4. Timeout Handling: Articles take 30-90 seconds to generate. Set timeouts to 120s minimum.
